El tacto es el primer sentido que se desarrolla dentro del útero, y es el último que desaparece antes de morir. Los estudios indican que el sentido del tacto se desarrolla entre la sexta y novena semana de gestación. Nuestra piel es extraordinaria. Es nuestro órgano más grande y la primera y más importante conexión del ser humano con el mundo. Sin el tacto, el bebé moriría con toda seguridad. Con el tacto saludable, el bebé no tan solo sobrevive si no que se desarrolla con todo  su potencial.
